At Dzalbay Cantina you can enjoy jazz and blues live music every day. Check the calendar on their website to discover the bands they schedule. Dzalbay Cantina is housed, like many cantinas in Mérida, in a century-old colonial building.
It is (like La Negrita Cantina or El Lucero del Alba Cantina) a corner building and also has a small courtyard with seating. And like La Negrita Cantina it is cater more towards tourists. The cantina is located downtown, two blocks west of Parque de Santa Lucia.
There are about 30 types of beer at Dzalbay, including a large selection of artesanal beers. You can get classic cocktails (Margarita, Mojito, Cosmopolitan, Martini, Aperol Spritz etc.) as well as signature cocktails of the house.
You will also find a wide selection of tequila, mezcal (30 varieties), rum, gin, vodka and whiskey, a handful of wines and of course soft drinks and coffee. Food includes salads, quesadillas, tacos, wraps, stuffed mushrooms, baguettes, burgers and more.
While many cantinas close by 8:00 pm, Dzalbay Cantina is open much longer (everyday from 4:00 pm to 0:00 am). Entrance is only allowed to 18+ years old only with a valid ID. In addition to its own website, you can also find Dzalbay Cantina on Instagram.
