El Apapacho
El Apapacho is located two blocks west of the Paseo de Montejo, approximately at the level of Palacio Cantón. You will find a small dining area in the front and a romantic and chill garden area in the back.
The Mexican restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beverage selection is pretty diverse, offering fresh juices, smoothies, chai, and tea and coffee drinks.
Vegetarians often have a hard time in Mérida. But El Apapacho's menu offers something for everyone with vegetarian and meat dishes.
The motto is "Comida nada gourmet y Arte" (Gourmet Food and Art) and so there is also a bookstore in the restaurant. In fact, you're actually sitting in the middle of bookshelves.
El Apapacho has received the "Traveller's Award" from TripAdvisor. Probably due to the boom of Mérida in recent years, the restaurant is now also aimed more at tourists and the price level is a bite more upscale.
The cafe and restaurant is nomad-friendly and has (as is usual everywhere) Wi-Fi. In addition to its own website, you can also find El Apapacho on Facebook and Instagram.
