Helados Santa Clara
Helados Santa Clara is a Ice Cream Parlor. In the city center, it is located at Parque Hidalgo on the ground floor of the Grand Hotel de Mérida. When you enter the hotel, there is an entrance to Santa Clara directly on the right.
But you can also go directly through the own entrance in front. It's a great place to stop by, sit in the adjacent Parque Hidalgo next to the church Iglesia de Jesus and one block from Plaza Grande and people-watch. The ice cream is very tasty and there are about two dozen different flavors.
The latest Helados Santa Clara is located in the Mercado Gastronómico (Gastronomic Market) of the Grand Parque La Plancha. And there are three more locations in the north of Mérida, including the Gran Plaza Mérida and La Isla Mérida Malltertainment shopping center.
Of course, a recommendation for one type of ice cream does not make much sense, because everyone has a different taste. That's why there's a selection. Nevertheless: I found Vino tinto con frutos rojos (red wine with red fruits) particularly delicious.
However, it is not really cheap, for two big scoops in a cone you pay 132 pesos. Santa Clara, by the way, is a nationwide chain and brand and belongs to Coca-Cola. You can find Helados Santa Clara on Facebook and on Instagram.
