Starbucks
The closest Starbucks to Casa Loltún is Starbucks Paseo Montejo. As the name suggests it is right on Paseo de Monteo (No. 465-P.B). It is a nice and large Starbucks, housed in a great colonial building on two floors with a outdoor terrace.
It is also a great option for a cafe to work from if you're looking for a good Wi-Fi connection. But of course, that's what Starbucks are known for. Opposite (on the other side of the street) is the well-known colonial mansion Casa Vales, which today serves as a branch of Banco Santander.
Even though the cuisine in Mexico and especially on the Yucatán Peninsula is praised by everyone, after a certain time tourists often feel the need to eat and drink something familiar "from home" again. Starbucks offers the same thing all over the world. And so it seems to everyone that they are at home at Starbucks.
Starbucks in the city center
If you feel the same way, you'll find the most central Starbucks in the city - apart from the Starbucks Paseo Montejo - just one block from Plaza Grande (1.7km from Casa Loltún) on the first floor of the Grand Hotel de Mérida at Parque Hidalgo (Calle 60, No. 59).
As you walk through the hotel entrance, there is an entrance to Starbucks directly on your left. The other Starbucks in Mérida are almost all located in the northern part of the city, partly in the large shopping centers, such as Gran Plaza Mérida or Plaza Altabrisa Mérida.
Starbucks Paseo Montejo is also on Facebook. And here is Starbucks in Mexico on Instagram.
The largest coffee house
Starbucks, founded in 1972, is the largest coffee house chain in the world, with over 30,000 cafes and several hundred thousand employees in more than 80 countries. And there are also a large number of branches in Mérida.
By the way a bit of show-off knowledge: The name Starbucks comes from the helmsman Starbuck in Herman Melville's novel Moby Dick.
